“Laughter has always been my lifeline. When life felt unbearable, comics gave me a way to breathe—like medicine I didn’t know I needed. As a child, I couldn’t explain why they mattered so much; I just knew they made the pain feel lighter. Now, as an adult navigating mental health struggles from inside prison walls, I create my own comics to shine that same light for others. With nothing more than printer paper and a few markers, I draw from a place of honesty, humor, and survival. My work isn’t polished by fancy supplies—it’s raw, it’s real, and it’s meant to make someone out there smile, even if just for a moment. These cartoons are the lighter side of my chaos. They’re a reminder that even in the darkest places, humor still exists. My only hope is that they connect—not that they offend.”
