What inspires your artwork?

Creating art gives me a sense of accomplishment. It allows me to connect with people, especially opening the door for conversation. I have used art to raise funds to help the local community. Also, art gives me a tool to speak against injustices in a society in a healthy way. I feel a sense of fulfillment and purpose for the first time in my life. - Erick Maciel

How would you describe your creative process?

My art has a connection to my personality. I am both somber and energetic. My artwork will tap into both sides of myself. I make surreal realism with a touch of graphic design elements. In this style of art, I can explore the themes of mystery, beauty, and joy. In turn, these themes are a strong reflection of my world and thoughts. - Erick Maciel
