What role does art play in your personal well-being?

“Art plays an impactful role in my life. Art sustains me in a sense. It is the way that I am able live, love and just generally share and receive positive energy. Art also is a way to distract me when I’m overwhelmed, it soothes me when I’m stressed. Art fills that emptiness that I often have in a cell. Art is what makes me feel alive.”

“Art represents me in every way. Others are able to see my attention to detail, and my appreciation for beautiful things. I truly value art as means of expression. Art really helps me think and feel the world. When others see my art, they can feel something in themselves. Art is how I touch other people without lifting anything physical ever happening.”
